Purpose:  The organized unit of UNITED METHODIST WOMEN shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
 
United Methodist Women Educate Themselves About Mission Opportunities Through:
  • Reading Response and World Outlook magazines
  • Participating in annual mission studies
  • Attending schools of Christian mission
  • Participating in the UMW Reading Program
  • Attending unit, district and conference events
  • Participating in program and training activities
  • Supporting Charter for Racial Justice
  • Supporting Campaign for Children
  • Participating in World Day of Prayer
United Methodist Women Sponsor and/or Support the Following:
  • FUMC Mission-Focused Bible Study
  • Observance of Call to Prayer and Self Denial
