When you visit FUMC - Marion for the first time, you can expect to be greeted with a warm smile and a friendly handshake. We understand it can be a little overwhelming when visiting a church for the first time, and we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. Listed below are a couple of common questions that you might have. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to give us a call at the church office (843.423.3533)
  • What is a Morning Worship Service like?
  • What should I wear?
  • Is the sanctuary accessible for those with disabilities?

What is The Morning Worship Service like?
At FUMC - Marion we have a high view of Scripture and believe that God's Word can and does transform the human heart. We believe you will be encouraged, enlightened, and energized as you are able to apply the truth of God's Word in your life. The Morning Worship Service is a more traditional service with organ and/or piano and a chancel choir leading the music. Usually, the Praise Team or other musicians or vocalists participate at various times during the service. There is always a Children's Time with the pastor.

What should I wear?
We want you to feel comfortable just being you. We do not have any strict guidelines on what to wear. From t-shirts to suits and ties, dresses to slacks and bluejeans, you will find people wearing exactly what they feel comfortable in. We know you will be welcomed no matter how you dress.

Is the sanctuary accessible for those with disabilities?
Our entrances have handrails and there is a ramp at the rear entrance of the sanctuary building. The ramp is accessible by sidewalks from the front of the church and by a covered sidewalk from the parking lot at the rear of the building.
